North Sikkim Explorer Tour Packages

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra/NJP | Transfer to Gangtok (120 km / 4.5 hrs)

Arrival: Meet our representative at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP).

Transfer: Scenic drive to Gangtok (Altitude: 5,410 ft).

Afternoon: Check-in to your hotel.

Evening: Stroll around the famous MG Marg for some cafe-hopping and acclimatization.

Night: Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2: Gangtok to Lachen | The Gateway to Gurudongmar (120 km / 6 hrs)

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Around 10:00 AM, begin your journey towards Lachen (Altitude: 8,838 ft).

En Route Sightseeing: Pass through beautiful mountain landscapes and stop at Tashi View Point, Seven Sisters Waterfall, and Naga Waterfalls.

Afternoon: Enjoy a warm lunch at a wayside inn (Mangan/Chungthang).

Evening: Arrive at Lachen, a serene tribal village. Check-in to your hotel/homestay and rest early for the next day's high-altitude trip.

Night: Overnight stay at hotel in Lachen.

Day 3: Gurudongmar Lake Excursion | Lachen to Lachung (50 km / 3 hrs)

Early Morning (4:00 AM): Start your journey to Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft). The drive through the cold desert of Thangu Valley is mesmerizing.

Morning Sightseeing: Reach the sacred Gurudongmar Lake. Spend a short time here due to the high altitude, taking in the frozen/crystal-clear beauty.

Late Morning: Return to Lachen for breakfast and pack your bags.

Afternoon: Drive towards Lachung (Altitude: 8,610 ft) via Chungthang. Visit the magnificent Bhim Nala Waterfall on the way.

Evening: Arrival in Lachung and check-in to your hotel.

Night: Overnight stay at hotel in Lachung.

Day 4: Yumthang Valley Excursion | Lachung to Gangtok (115 km / 6 hrs)

Morning: After breakfast, drive towards Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft), also known as the Valley of Flowers.

Sightseeing Highlights: Enjoy the snow-clad mountains, river, and grazing Yaks. You can also visit the Yumthang Hot Spring.

Zero Point (Optional): Drive further up to Yumesamdong / Zero Point (Subject to weather conditions and military permission. Extra cost applies and is paid directly to the driver).

Afternoon: Return to Lachung for lunch, complete check-out, and begin your return journey to Gangtok.

Night: Arrival in Gangtok by late evening. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok Local City Tour & Leisure

Morning: Relaxed breakfast at the hotel to recover from the North Sikkim journey.

Sightseeing Highlights: Proceed for a half-day local tour covering Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Banjhakri Waterfalls, and Flower Show/Ridge Park.

Evening: Free time for souvenir shopping and enjoying the local cuisine at MG Marg.

Night: Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.

Day 6: Departure from Gangtok to Bagdogra/NJP (120 km / 4.5 hrs)

Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast in the hills and check out from the hotel.

Departure: Drive back to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station for your onward journey.
